What You Need to Know

Tint laws in New South Wales are strict, and choosing illegal shades can lead to fines, defect notices, insurance issues and even failed inspections. That’s why every tint we install at SOUTH COAST TINT is fully compliant, safe and approved for road use.
 

New South Wales Tint Laws

  • Windshield: Only uppermost 10% of the windshield may be tinted.

  • Front side windows: Must have more than 35% VLT.

  • Back side windows: Must have more than 20% VLT.

  • Rear window: Must have more than 20% VLT.
